CASA of Travis County has a Director of Communications position available. The Director of Communications leads initiatives to achieve CASA’s mission by creating and executing a comprehensive, strategic and sustainable communications plan targeted to CASA’s diverse audiences, including volunteers, donors, staff, community partners, media, influencers, and the broader public. The Director of Communications works closely and collaboratively with all parts of the organization to ensure achievement of CASA’s goals and the success of its programs, services, and events. The Director of Communications reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and supervises members of the communications and marketing team. Though the Director of Communications is supporting the goals of other teams, the Director is also able to drive planning, action, and deadlines to ensure that goals are met.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required. CASA of Travis County welcomes employees from diverse educational backgrounds and degree programs. In lieu of a degree, significant professional relevant experience may be considered. Preferred candidates will have experience in managing people and a demonstrated commitment to diversity of thought.
