We work together to achieve CASA's vision of a trained volunteer advocate, a safe home, and a promising future for every child who needs us in Travis County.
We are unique individuals who support each other in a warm, welcoming environment. Our mission and vision inspire our daily work and advocacy.
Our Operating Principles:
• Integrity

• Action
• Empowerment

• Generosity
• Hope
Our Commitment to Child Safety:
Every team member is required to complete essential training in their first week of employment to better understand the essential needs of children, how to keep children safe, and how to identify risk factors around children's safety. Further, each program team member walks through our CASA CORE Volunteer training to walk through what exactly an advocate is responsible for regarding child safety, advocacy, and overall wellbeing. Finally, all staff complete 1-1 trainings with program leadership and refresher courses throughout the year to better understand our commitment.
CASA of Travis County will not employ anyone who has ever been charged with a felony or misdemeanor involving a sex offense, violent act, child abuse or neglect, or related acts that would pose risks to children. Additionally, CASA will comply with requirements of Texas CASA, National CASA, the Office of the Texas Attorney General or other legal requirements in determining whether an applicants background check is satisfactory for employment.
