Director of Volunteer Engagement

CASA of Travis County has a full-time Director of Volunteer Engagement position available. The Director of Volunteer Engagement leads CASA of Travis County in identifying, institutionalizing, and sustaining best practices in the engagement and retention of volunteers. Additionally, the Director of Volunteer Engagement manages the Centralized Case Matching protocols in collaboration with the Program Leadership team and supervises the Program Assistant to ensure the efficient and prompt transition of cases and adherence to child safety practices throughout the case assignment process. As a member of the Program Leadership team, the Director of Volunteer Engagement provides leadership, expertise and ongoing support to staff and volunteers with engagement efforts, including facilitation of training for Child Advocacy Specialists on best practices for volunteer management and planning and implementation of ongoing program-wide engagement efforts for volunteers. The Director of Volunteer Engagement will ensure that the mission of CASA of Travis County is carried out, in accordance with CASA’s values, policies, and standards, and must have a proven record of exercising cultural competency in their interaction with colleagues and other stakeholders.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, experience in supervising, coaching, and motivating staff and/or volunteers as well as demonstrated initiative to identify and solve problems creatively and effectively, prioritizing the needs of the organization.
