Director of Quality and Safety

CASA of Travis County has a full-time Director of Quality and Safety position available. The Director of Quality and Safety ensures high quality advocacy for children to whom CASA is appointed through the courts of Travis County by taking the lead on quality assurance and child safety initiatives for the program team. The Director of Quality and Safety supports the Program Management Team in the development and implementation of quality assurance and child safety protocols that 1) assess for child safety risk factors and provide additional support to the program team when risk factors are identified; 2) evaluate the performance of the program team to ensure that performance meets or exceeds the organization’s standards; and 3) maintain Praesidium accreditation. The Director of Quality and Safety reports to the Senior Director of Advocacy and collaborates closely with the Chief Program Officer and the Program Management Team. Though reporting directly to the Senior Director of Advocacy, the Director and Quality and Safety will also frequently work under the direct supervision of the Chief Program Officer.

Five years experience with child welfare, child safety, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to manage and respond to crises calmly, clearly, and effectively. Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to analyze and process large amounts of information and organize/highlight information critical to decision-making. Demonstrated initiative to identify and solve problems creatively and effectively, prioritizing child safety.
