Other Ways to Give

Host a CASA Gift Card Drive

When a child in foster care needs school supplies, clothing, a birthday present, graduation gown, or college supplies – or wants to take part in sports or summer camp and needs the right gear – CASA is often the only financial resource.

April and Max

You can host a Gift Card Drive any time of the year to directly help children and CASA. We suggest $25 gift cards from the following stores:

  • Wal-Mart – toys, electronics, clothing, shoes, school supplies, baby needs, gas etc.
  • Target – same
  • HEB – groceries, baby supplies, etc.
  • Best Buy – gifts and supplies for teens
  • Child-friendly spots - movie theatres, McDonald’s, pizza restaurant, Amy’s Ice Cream, etc. for celebrating a child's birthday or special achievement
  • Starbucks & "grown-up" restaurants – to recognize outstanding volunteers
  • Office Depot, Hobby Lobby or Costco – for office and fundraising supplies to keep CASA running efficiently

Throw a Diaper & Baby Clothes “Shower”

CASA is a partner in the Travis County court system’s innovative “Parenting in Recovery” program which gives new mothers addicted to drugs the opportunity to seek recovery and care for their babies. When mothers meet weekly court-ordered goals, they may be rewarded with baby items.

You can throw a “Shower” to gather new baby items like:

  • Diapers – all sizes of disposable diapers
  • Baby clothes
  • Baby toys and books
