"Guiding Light" Necklace Designed Exclusively for CASAblanca by Zoltan David

Guiding Light by Zoltan David

Guiding Light by Zoltan David

Three years after he first debuted an original work for CASAblanca, we welcome Mr. Zoltan David back to our live auction! Zoltan has created a piece exclusively for the 2016 CASAblanca Gala.

“There are few things I love more or am inspired by more than children. When I see them needing help, when I see them overcome adversity and become honorable young adults, these things move me in my heart, so it is, emotionally and intellectually, a very easy thing to dedicate a one-of-a-kind design to CASA to support the children.

This custom-designed piece is titled “Guiding Light,” and it is made of Black Knightsteel and 18K gold, with a 22K gold inlay. It features a vivid 1.08 ct. yellow princess-cut diamond (HPHT), VVS2 clarity in the center of the piece, and is accented with seven .02 ct. intense yellow diamonds. As a one-of-a-kind piece, it will never be made again. The pendant is constructed in 14 separate parts, finished to perfection and masterfully assembled.

“Of course it is complicated in its engineering… that is how I like to make pieces. I spent many hours just in the design phase and my staff of artisans and I spent many more days completing it. This piece is dedicated and created specifically for the children of CASA. It is an inspired piece that I hope will uplift all who view it.” - Zoltan David

Sir Zoltan David is a Hungarian-born American jewelry designer. In 1980, he opened his studio here in Texas called Zoltan David Precious Metal Art. In 2007, Mr. David was selected as one of the Top 100 Designers of the Past 30 Years in a poll conducted by National Jeweler Magazine. In 2010, he received the “Designers Award” at the International Pearl Design Competition. These are just a few of his many accomplishments.
