The only thing worse than a precious child suffering any kind of abuse would be when that abuse comes at the hand of those that are trusted to love, nurture, model, and mold them as responsible parents or guardians. CASA doesn't prevent that abuse from happening—I so wish the could. What CASA does is take 'helplessness' off the table and level the playing field for these children to stop the cycle of abuse and violence and giving them a chance to live happy, healthy lives.
