Urgent volunteer need: 41% increase in children appointed to CASA

CASA of Travis County has been appointed to 260 new children in the first 3 months of 2015. Throughout January, February and March we’ve averaged a 41% increase in child appointments in comparison to the same 3 months in 2014. At the same time, our numbers of CASA volunteer applications have been slowing down.

Children need your help right now.

If you've been thinking about volunteering, now would be a great time to start training to be an advocate. Check out our website or join us at an upcoming Info Session on May 5 or May 18 to learn more and apply.

If you're already a CASA volunteer who's not on a case currently, we have cases waiting for you. Contact your supervisor or email dean.smith@casatravis.org. If you haven't volunteered in a while there may be some background check updates you'll need to do.

If you're a current volunteer or if becoming an advocate isn't right for you at this time, here are some other ways you can help:

Thank you for anything you can do right now to help our community's children.
